Ruth Walker for School Board, District 3 — Putting Children First

Community Voice.

When I am elected to represent District 3, my responsibility is to listen to the parents, teachers, and students that I serve. That means creating ways for ongoing input, not just during election season or budget votes.

When elected, I will establish a District 3 Parent–Teacher Advisory Committee with representatives from each of our eight schools. This group would provide a regular, nonpartisan space to share what's working, what isn't, and how we can better support students across our district. My goal is to listen, learn, and work collaboratively to support student success.

Professionally, I have spent years helping college students prepare for their careers and future success. I have also presented and trained educators at the regional and national level on effective teaching and student support practices. I want to bring that same focus on preparation, opportunity, and long-term success to our K–12 students.

I want to hear from you now. Please share your thoughts and concerns about our public schools using the form below. Your input will help guide how I represent District 3.
